| Description: | The pictures on the label of various age vineyard workers refer to the age of the vines and the time the wine spends in oak, this one is only 6 weeks of new French oak, the soils are very sandy thus the fact that they have never had phlyoxera, 60-90 year old vines, a very fuity bouquet dark cherry liqueur like fruit wild strawberry jam and a bit of fresh steak like meaty notes. Lovely richness on the tongue here with a good hand of fresh cherry berry fruit, smooth round tannins and a nice amount of spice and floral notes through the finish. Finish 40+ Excellent. |
