Best after 2027.\r\nWine Enthusiast 97 Points\r\n Vinous 96 Points \r\nJames Suckling 94 Points\u00a0 \r\nRobert Parker 94 Points\r\nAbout Ch\u00e2teau Canteanc Brown\r\n\r\nAt the beginning of the 19th century, when John-Lewis Brown (1769-1851) acquired the estate.\u00a0He chose to build a Tudor-style castle in the town of Cantenac which would remind him of his Scottish origins.\r\nThe castle, among the most original in M\u00e9doc, is surrounded by a remarkable English-style park.\r\nThe Bordeaux merchant, owner of several castles in M\u00e9doc, Louis Armand Lalande (1820-1894), enlarged and enriched the building while retaining the English Renaissance architecture.\r\nThe 1855 classification will recognize the quality of its wines as Third Grand Cru Class\u00e9.\r\n\r\n\r\nAt the end of 2019, the Le Lous family took the reins of this gem of the Margaux appellation\r\n\u2026 And continues the work of qualitative excellence carried out by its predecessors.\r\nJos\u00e9 Sanfins is still leading this new project, promoting this magnificent terroir with the greatest respect for the soil, the vines and its environment.\u00a0Driven by new investments, this ambition fits precisely into each of the stages of wine making, producing vintage after vintage one of the best Margaux wines. |
