| Description: | Vino de Samaniego is a village-designated wine from Rioja Alavesa. The Sáenz de Samaniego family has been living and farming here for so long that that they both share the same name. This blend of mostly Tempranillo with Graciano, Mazuelo, and Garnacha sees about one third carbonic maceration, traditional in Rioja Alavesa, and the rest is fermented in stainless steel. These two are blended together and spend one year in French oak. Enjoy this medium-bodied dry red with grilled pork with rosemary and tomato jam. |
