| Description: | Grown by the river in Rutherford on gravel, silt, and clay soils, 5% of the grapes were affected by botyrtis which gives the wine a rich edge. Fermented and aged in neutral oak and stainless steel, the wine receives no MLF but goes through 12 months lees ageing with no stirring. Acidity is fresh and high giving the wine a tight texture which is enriched by nutty lees aromas with wax, honeycomb, and citrus and stone fruits on the nose. |
