| Description: | Wine maker notes La Nevera is a fun, delicious wine produced from organically grown grapes in the renown Rioja region. La Nevera is bottled in glass and in a box-wine format. Because the regulatory council of Rioja does not allow any trademark from the Rioja region to be connected with a box-wine bottling, the name Rioja does not appear on its label. The advantages of doing a box wine in Rioja are many. In addition to the savings of glass, corks, etc. the greatest advantage is the tax savings. Not showing the name Rioja on the label allows La Nevera to pay a lesser tax making this wine a greater value than it otherwise would have been. La Nevera is produced from Monchi's estate own vineyards. Monchi has been a farmer in Rioja Alta for many generations. La Nevera is a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and Viura. 100% stainless steel. If you like youthful wines that are vibrant and uncomplicated, this red-berry, slightly spiced wine is for you. Perfect to drink on its own, while cooking or with any food that is light and uncomplicated (chicken, rice dishes, pasta, and pizza). |
