There's an almost-crunchy feel to the finale, yet also a balanced inner sweetness combined with residual acids that creates a sense of total harmony, as hints of lime and melon slowly taper off. The Erre is a single-vineyard Fiano di Avellino that spends eighteen months refining on the lees. I seriously hope to be able to revisit this beauty in three to four years.". One of the benchmark estates for Fiano di Avellino, the vineyards lie along the stretch of limestone clay soils with volcanic tuff that the renownwed Fiano areas of Lapio and Montefalcione share.
