| Description: | Originally 100% Syrah with an homage to the "Cote Rôtie", the 2018 is firing on all cylinders right out of the gate, and while it's more round and voluptuous in its youth, it's no less age worthy and no less rare. About 68% Grenache and 32% Syrah grown at high altitude with rocky soils that gather heat. Meaty with thyme, sage, licorice, and a dusting of cocoa powder. Medium to bold on the palate. This may be as close as any to replicating the Rhône. Only 242 cases made. |
