This variety produces wines rich in color, with firm but delicate and structuring tannins. Coming from the vineyards of Quinta do Paço, with about 25 years, located in the sub-region of Serra da Estrela, Dão region. This Casa Américo Alfrocheiro wine shows a ruby color with aromas of black plum, peat and hints of pine. In the mouth it is dense, with firm but delicate tannins." —winemaker. Wine Anthology Team Review -One of the hidden gems from this past year for me. An un-oaked red from Portugal that really allows the grape to show itself off. Savory with compote fruit flavors, this is a red that can handle a slight chill before drinking. Also an excellent food wine, enjoy this with freshly grilled red snapper and peppers. Cheers! |
