Description: | Tasting NOTES\r\nThis 2019 Reserva displays an attractive, medium-deep, ruby-red color with some brick-red glints. The nose reveals delicious red and black fruit aromas, such as blueberries, plums, and forest fruit, together with notes of licorice and chocolate. Medium-bodied on the palate, the wine shows lovely balance with hints of roasted coffee beans, ripe fruit, silky tannins, and a lingering finish. Bottled unfiltered.\r\nFOOD Pairing - You can pair this wine with veal, Iberian ham and charcuterie and some kinds of stews and hotpots.\r\nVINIFICATION - Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in oak vats. Aged for 24 months in casks made in our cooperage from selected oak. Prior to bottling the wine is finned with fresh egg white. Once bottled it is left to undergo a rounding process for twelve months in our cellar, as a minimum.\r\nAbout Bodegas Muga\r\nBodegas Muga is a family business founded by Isaac Muga and Aurora Ca\u00f1o in 1932, which is located in the historic Barrio de La Estaci\u00f3n (Station Quarter) of Haro. With an area of around 25,000 square metres, it is home to both the most traditional winemaking methods and the latest cutting-edge techniques.\r\nWines that are born from inspiration and authenticity.\r\nIn Muga, we always use the finest materials and are open to new techniques that provide greater quality without losing authenticity.\r\nTo produce each of our wines, we continue opting for traditional procedures:\r\nThrough the natural process of fining, we eliminate the suspended particles that appear in the wine.\r\nWe carry out the decanting by the traditional method of gravity.\r\nWe are the only cellar in Spain with a master cooper and three in-house barrel-makers. |
