| Description: | 100% Xinomavro. This deep, ruby color wine derives great lengths of complexities, starting with aromas of red cherries, roses, greenery, vanilla bean, raspberry, earthiness, and cinnamon bark. The palate departs with black, candied cherries, raspberries, black tea, dried herbs, coconut, cinnamon spice, coco, with softer tones of coffee, nutmeg, dried blackberry, and allspice. There is a light note of cream from the malolactic fermentation that softens the acidity just a little. Really big, gentle tannins, creating a full body wine, but not a fat wine. The high intensity of flavors express changing elements from initial taste, through midpalate, to a long finish. Balance is achieved from structure of the tannins, the higher than noticeable acidity, and nuances through the taste. |
