| Description: | Planted in 1982, Hunting Hill Vineyard has been a key part of the original Kumeu River Chardonnay blend. Sitting on the slope overlooking Mate's Vineyard, the Hunting Hill Vineyard delivers ripe and rich fruit with distinctive mealy minerality. On the nose, this wine hums the classic fragrant lemon and lime blossom from Hunting Hill. The texture is supple and the acidity is crystalline. On the palate, the river stone minearlity is well balanced with the oak influenced creamy texture. No doubt a pleasure to the senses now, this wine will also evolve gracefully for the next 6-8 years. |
