| Description: | Wine Enthusiast. The color of Versilia Peach roses, this sparkler offers quiet aromas of strawberry, plum and saltine cracker. The palate is delicate, showing strawberry, apple, biscuits and lemon juice flavors on a soft, fine mousse. It finishes on a squeeze of lemon and baguette, with a hint of watermelon. (fa) (12/2018) Wine Spectator. The strawberry and cranberry flavors show good intensity, with a touch of lime juice and peach blossom on a supple frame, finishing with a mouthwatering edge. (mw) (3/2020) K&L Notes. Ruby-colored, this non-vintage rosé sparkler has a bright nose, blooming with wild flower, strawberry and raspberry scents. In the mouth, it is dry, with crisp berry fruit flavors and a hint of toasted bread. In 1984, Gilbert Gruet of the French Champagne house Gruet & Fils made a bold choice to plant Chardonnay and Pinot Noir near Albuquerque, New Mexico. High vineyards at 4,300 feet meant cool nights for his experiment and a long growing season. In 1987 he finally was able to achieve his first production using the traditional French methode champenoise, and the rest is history.
