The Taittinger non-vintage Brut La Française is racy and fresh, perfect for kicking off a meal. Flavors of orchard fruit with nuances of citrus oil and parmesan rind round out the refreshing and alluring palate. - Vinepair. A dry, fresh and delicious Taittinger with aromas and flavors of apples, fresh lemons and minerals. Full-bodied. Precise. White pepper and salt at the end. 40% chardonnay and 35% pinot noir, the rest pinot meunier. Three to four years on the lees. Drink now. - James Suckling. Well-cut and firm, with a smoky underpinning and a chalky texture, this shows an open-knit mix of black raspberry, slivered almond, lemon peel and star anise. Enjoy with food. - An, Wine Spectator. The Nv Brut La Française is based on 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier, all fermented in stainless steel and blended with 30% of reserve wines. It is a pure, fresh and well-structured Brut that seems more elegant, complex and round than the Brut Réserve. The persistent finish is clear, fresh and well structured, with refreshing lemon flavors and a nice grip. My sample was said to be bottled in 2014 and disgorged in March 2017 with nine grams of dosage.
