Veramonte Cabernet Sauvignon
Description: | Vintage Notes: The 2005 harvest was an excellent year, especially for Cabernet Sauvignon. The Colchagua Valley experienced an optimum growing season with excellent ripening throughout March and April. The extended hang time resulted in ripe flavors and very soft tannins. Appearance: Deep, dark ruby red. Aroma:. Concentrated blackberry and black cherry aromas with well-integrated oak. Flavor: Deep flavors of black cherry, blueberry and blackberry fruits highlighted with earthy notes and elegant oak that lend a creamy mouth feel. Plush with soft, rich tannins, this wine is concentrated, round and luxurious with a long finish. Region Description. Just south of Santiago, this is Chile's most famous region, home to its major wineries. Long-standing plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon are the main grape here, although Syrah and Sangiovese are being introduced. Chardonnay also does well here. |
