Sucrosity and concentration on the palate, with a full body, velvety, refined tannins of great elegance, then a savoury and vibrant finish. Dried cherry and cinnamon on the aftertaste, sustained by fierce, tense acidity. A great wine. Oddero owns 2ha in Gallina Mga, mostly planted 60 years ago otherwise less than 13 years. South exposition at 200m. The handling is traditional but with delicate extraction and a shorter maceration not longer than 25 days (including fermentation). The bouquet is beautiful with a sweet cherry tone that rises above crushed limestone, blue flower and blood orange. There is a dry or almost dusty side to the wine that you feel on the palate especially, but the overall impression it leaves is one of subdued elegance and finesse. This is a special wine with 6,000 bottles released.". James Suckling 94 Points - "Fresh on the nose with notes of spiced cherries, citrus peel, nut shell and cardamom with dried herb and nutmeg undertones. Medium- to full-bodied with firm structure and compact tannins, that are ripe and nicely integrated with the fruit. Vivid and floral with clean and pure red fruit character in the finish.
