| Description: | The first vintage of Semillon from the Tyrrell family was released in 1864 from their Hunter Valley property. The Semillon for this HDV bottling was planted in 1908, creating a concentrated wine that is built to age. The ideal soils, between two dry creeks are sandy, giving the wine oceanic characteristics. Textbook aromas of white flowers, Meyer lemon zest, marmalade, sawdust and waxy acidity. We love that it is a back vintage too! |
