| Description: | "Star Vineyard," Rutherford Bench fruit. Whole cluster pressed, barrel fermented (about 10% new), aged on its lees, no malolactic. So this wine is not "buttery," however it gets ample richness from the quality of fruit, barrel and lees-ageing. Smell and taste poached pears, pie crust, ripe melon, apple butter, peaches. Medium bodied, medium acidity, plenty of richness. This will make an excellent dinner companion. |
