Violets and small red berries make up the highly characteristic bouquet. Rich, with powerful and complex aromas, Chambolle-Musigny coats the palate with silk and lace. Delicate and full-bodied, it nonetheless maintains a solid, long-lasting structure and offers soft tannins. Bresse capon is a good match as the meat's subtle texture will be delicately coated by the silky yet dense tannins of Chambolle-Musigny wines, especially the Premiers Crus.?Chambolle comes from Campus Ebolliens, or "Champ Bouillant" (boiling field), describing the liveliness of the river that crosses the local area after thunderstorms. |
