| Description: | The Richoux family has been growing grapes in the picturesque village of Irancy since 1610. Tenth generation Thierry farms 20 hectares of kimmeridgian-centric vines that create a patchwork across the appellation. His reputation as a devoted and gifted vigneron is articulated by the fact that he farms all of Vincent Dauvissat's Irancy vines. Thierry Richoux's wines have earned a large following by serious Burgundy lovers, as they represent truly amazing values in the Burgundy landscape. The wines are certainly ‘northerly' in spirit, leading with minerals and earth and followed by fruit and spice. The are lovely and fresh, but with the structure to age gracefully. Following in his farming footsteps are sons Gabin and Félix, who have joined Thierry in recent years and are steadily assuming sole responsibility and ownership of the domaine. |
