| Description: | Notes from the Winemaker:. Rich, ripe fruit dominate the nose with aromas of currant, boysenberry, blackberry and black cherry all intermingling. They are complimented by notes of vanilla, sweet spice and oak. The fruit continues onto the palate where the wine is balanced and bright, with round supple tannins and a nice lingering finish. Vineyard:. The fruit used in our 2014 Red Label Claret is sourced from select vineyards throughout Sonoma County, specific regions including Sonoma Valley, Alexander Valley and Carneros. Every year, we select grapes with a specific characteristic that will allow us to achieve the desired flavor profile of the final blend and create continuity from vintage to vintage. Vinification:. We begin our winemaking work in our vineyards, cultivating the vines using sustainable farming techniques and following natureÕs lead as the growing season unfolds. As harvest begins, our winemaker walks the vineyard rows to ensure grapes arenÕt picked until they have reached optimum ripeness. In the cellar, quality and purity are never compromised at the hands of convenience. Composition: 74% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Syrah, 4% Petit Sirah, 2% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot.
