Description: | Vineyards of the Cote de Beaune. The vineyards of Puligny-Montrachet are located to the east on a slight slope, at an altitude of 230-360 m. Les Perrires is an old name that comes from the word pierres (= stones). Many places on the Cte d'or have kept this appellation. This could refer to a quarry where the quarry workers were called "perrier". The soil on which the grapes grow is stony, limestone and clay.Floral scents (white blossoms, honeyed tip). When young, it goes well with sole fillet, freshwater fish, laminated veal brie. When ripe, it complements the richest and most sophisticated dishes, such as lobster, monkfish, grilled turbot, pike. |
