| Description: | 99 Wci / 96+ Jd / 95 We / 92-94 Vm. Insanely rich, with a depth of flavor that does not quit, the wine coats every nook and cranny of your palate. Even with teeth staining levels of fruit, the wine is velvety, polished, fresh, vibrant, long and complex. Density and purity make a powerful pairing here. On your palate, the wine just does not quit, staying with you for close to 60 seconds. It's absolutely sublime! The wine was made from a blend of 85% old vine Mourvedre and 15% Grenache-Jeff Leve, Wine Cellar Insider. Lurid ruby-red. Sexy, mineral- and smoke-accented red fruit liqueur and potpourri aromas are complemented by suggestions of licorice and cola. Sweet, seamless and spicy on the palate, offering raspberry and cherry-vanilla flavors that become livelier with aeration. Shows very good depth and finishes sappy and quite long, with smooth tannins coming on late. Jeb Dunnuck. Whiffs of smoked nut and dark chocolate accent primary, intensely ripe black cherry and plum in this wine. It's juicy and hedonistic, but shaded by hints of granite and earth. A powerfully scented, complex bouquet displays mineral-accented boysenberry, cherry liqueur, licorice and smoky mineral aromas that expand and become spicier with air.
