Medoc Red Bordeaux Chateau Beauvillage 750ml

Vintage: 2015
Description: Description: Château Beauvillage was created in 1925 when the grandfather of ValĂŠrie Bugada-Jean expressed an interest in the terroir of the smallest village in the MĂŠdoc. He purchased his first plots of land in Couquèques and soon discovered their outstanding potential. This lover of vines and wine passed on his expertise to his sons, Christian and Claude, who, many years later, also handed on their knowledge to his son-in-law, Eric Bugada. The terroir of Château Beauvillage consists of a combination of clay-limestone and gravel. The fossilized stones and heavy, clay soil produce full-bodied, elegant wines. Benefiting from the close proximity of the Gironde Estuary (river) on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. Garnet color with aromas of dried currants, baking chocolate, and vanilla bean. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins upfront intermingled with sour cherry, iron ore mineral character and graphite. This wine expresses a combination of Medoc and Saint Emilion terroir, a lovely classic Bordeaux style wine. Food Pairings: Bitter dishes, black pepper, fatty dishes, red meats, bitter greens, eggplant, etc.
