| Description: | 92 JS / 92 Fs. Spiced lemons and sliced ripe apples with some steel and flint on the nose. Green pepper, too. Medium-bodied palate with a tight frame of fruit and acidity. Drink now. James Suckling. Light yellow-green, silver reflections. Delicate tobacco underlaid white apple fruit, a hint of mango, delicate reductive spice, fresh orange zest. Juicy, elegant, fresh stone fruit, lively structure, mineral-salty finish, long finish, a multi-faceted food wine.-Falstaff. Valley and hillside vineyards as well as high-elevation terraces produce the aromatic and spicy complexity of this wine, offering pure, sophisticated drinking pleasure. Formed by the Danube River. Articulated by stone terraces created by the hard labour and toil of the winegrowers. Now preserved and protected in its authenticity by forward-thinking residents. The Wachau became a Unesco World Cultural Heritage Site in 2000. |
