Chamucos Anejo Tequila

Chamucos Anejo Tequila

Description: Smooth and sweet, this unique tequila features prominent flavors of dried fruit, almonds, vanilla, and chocolate. Chamucos Tequila was originally imagined in 1992 by Oscar-nominated Mexican film director Antonio Urrutia and his close friend Cesar Hernandez, a hand-blown glass bottle artist. Interested in creating his own tequila, Mark Howard saw a bottle while visiting Cesar's glass factory. The three collaborated on this recipe, guided by renowned Master Distiller, Ing. Hector Davalos. After slow cooking in masonry brick ovens and natural fermentation with proprietary yeasts in open vats, this tequila is distilled in specially designed Stainless Steel Alambique Stills. The exciting result is specially aged in virgin American White Oak barrels up to three years, produced and bottled in a little town named San Francisco de Asis in Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco Mexico. Created with exclusively organic, Los Altos agave, the character and purity of the tequila is wonderfully echoed in the traditional, hand-blown bottles.
