| Description: | The Sommelier Journal said Tapiz is a slam dunk winery to follow, when in 2012 head winemaker Fabian Valenzuela was joined by Jean-Claude Berrouet. Jean Claude is the recently-retired winemaker of Chateau Petrus, having presided over 44 vintages at this revered Bordeaux winery. Patricia Ortiz, who owns and manages with winery was thrilled that he chose to work with them exclusively in Argentina. To celebrate the addition of Jean Claude, Tapiz created a new "Alta Collection" line of wines, which has gotten huge press from The Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast and James Suckling. |
