Tasting it next to the Cerro Sur is so fascinating, as both wines are Franc-based and yet completely different. Red cherry, plum, mocha, licorice and lavender build into the potent, sumptuous finish.". It's another elegant, complex, medium to full-bodied effort from Erickson that has a deep purple hue, loads of floral, incense, tobacco, and spicy nuances, fine tannins, and a great core of red and black fruits. It picks up some classic Oakville iron and darker nuances with air and is perfect for enjoying over the coming 15 years.".
