| Description: | Another unusual vareital (we love these - can' t you tell?), Kerner was developed in Germany in the early twentieth century with Riesling being one of its genetic parents. In the high hills of the Alto Adige this man-made creation takes on a much different personality than Riesling with a thick, almost red-wine-like texture, ripe peach and pear fruits and a smoky note that is downright enthralling. We think this would be a great Thanksgiving choice as it can stand up to just about any flavor but overpower none. See what you think! |
