| Description: | The 2022 Riesling trocken is harvested from slightly cooler, calcareous sites in Westhofen, Gundersheim and Hangen-Weisheim. The 15-20 separately vinified sites make one big blend that became the estate's calling card. The nose is an immediate signal of bright, aromatic Riesling purity with a full-on tangerine nose that speaks as much of juicy citrus ripeness as freshness on a light body. More air shows just a slight smokiness, and the palate is all flow, all joy, all considered concentration. Nothing is overdone. Reduction and yeastiness come back on the finish. Joyous. Made in 70% large barrel and 30% stainless steel. (Bone-dry) |
