| Description: | (92+ Points)Pale to medium ruby-purple, the 2015 Pinot Noir Cygnus Block is youthfully shy on the nose, giving way to pink peppercorn, rose petal, dried leaves, salted licorice, allspice and lilac over a core of warm red and black cherry preserves, blackberry and hints of blue fruit. Medium-bodied, it offers concentrated fruit and spice layers in the mouth with earthy suggestions and plenty of sweet baking spice at this early juncture. It's got a good structure of grainy tannins and mouthwatering acidity, finishing long and packed with flavor. This needs time in bottle to unfurl. Wine Advocate. |
