| Description: | This wine is a blend of two Santa Maria Vineyards. The younger plantings are from Rancho Ontiveros Vineyard and the old vine plantings are from Rancho Vinedo Vineyard, planted in 1973. Both of these vineyards are farmed using organic farming practices, and the wine was bottled with minimal sulfur. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 94 Points - "The 2021 Pinot Noir Vino de los Ranchos is the most widely available red from Scar of the Sea. It is crafted from organically farmed grapes and only sulfured at bottling. Medium ruby, it offers layered aromas of cherry candy, cranberry, Earl Grey tea leaves and delicate earthy touches in the undercurrent. The palate is light-bodied and seamlessly fresh with floral fruits, a soft frame of dusty tannins and an ethereal, perfumed finish. This way overdelivers for the price!".
