Marco Tinessa 'OGNOSTRO' Fiano "NATURAL WINE"

Vintage: 2021
Description: "natural Wine". Practicing Organic Farming. 100% Fiano. Cloudiness is normal, as this is bottled early in the wine's evolution and is neither filtered nor fined. Marco Tinessa comes from the Campania region, where they sometimes call wine "O'gnostro" ("ink") in the Neapolitan dialect (presumably for red wine, which was Marco's first production). He only got into making wine after starting his career in the financial capital of Milan, and it was Etna's famous winemaker, Frank Cornelissen who encouraged him. For now, he's bringing the grapes all the way up from the hills of Lapio to a suburb of Milano! This Fiano comes from the famous Fiano di Avellino zone of inland Campania (but the wine is not called as such since it's not made there). Spontaneously fermented. The grapes were de-stemmed and maceration lasted for 2.5 days in fiberglass vat. The wine was fermented in steel and aged for another 7 months in fiberglass and steel. Minimal addition of sulfites at bottling.
