| Description: | Yolanda Diaz, Jean-Marc Lafage, and Eric Solomon âdiscoveredâ a unique part of Aragon â" a series of high plateaux centered around the villages of Atea and Acered. At an average elevation of 1000 meters above sea level, these vineyards are among the highest elevation sites within the province of Aragon. Even more interesting is that the soil here is pure schist, the same soil one can find in the Priorat, where Eric Solomon and Daphne Glorian make Clos Erasmus, as well as Maury, where Jean-Marc owns an estate by the name of Chateau Saint-Roch. This unique terroir and the old vines of Garnacha rooted in it, are the origins of Evodia. |
