Altozano Tempranillo
Tempranillo from Castilla La Mancha

Description: | Producer Finca Constancia, one of the Gonzalez Byass properties, is located in Castilla la Mancha, near Toledo, in central Spain. The name is a tribute to Manuel M. Gonzalez, founder of Gonzalez Byass, for whom constancy was life's key virtue. He named the first winery in Jerez "La Constancia". After an exhaustive search, the land was purchased in 2001, selected because of the tremendous diversity of soils, and for its continental climate, which has a lack of rainfall during the ripening period guaranteeing the health of the grapes. The vineyards are planted in 79 separate parcels, or parcelas, all of which are vinified separately. Each parcela has different soil composition. The single parcela and Finca Constancia wines are the benchmark of the estate. Altozano, in its contemporary, eye-catching packaging, is fresh and fruit forward-a great introduction to the value of Spanish wines. |
