Planted to 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, the formidable Latour estate has vines averaging 40+ years, and the estate is situated on the Pauillac/Saint Julien border, immediately north of the walled vineyard of Léoville Las Cases. Latour has a fortress-like tower that overlooks the vineyards and the Gironde River, and dates back to the 17th century. |
