Ostrea is produced from a patch of old vines in Gevrey near the border with Brochon. The parcel was originally planted in 1919 and averages 90 years of age with vine replacements. This is an exceptional Gevrey village. 'Ostrea' refers to the generous inclusions of fossilised oyster shells in the clay and limestone soils." |
