Description: | Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru Les Serpentières opens up on the nose with aromas of cherry, raspberry and nutmeg. In the mouth, it is distinguished by its sappy and silky character. It offers a fleshy, smooth and fresh texture with a perfect balance. Accompaniments: Blanquette of veal with oyster mushrooms, paupiettes of veal with prunes, aubergine lasagne, Morbier or Laguiole cheeses. "The forward, accessible aroma has elements of plum, spice, and smoke. The texture is rich and surprisingly dense for the appellation, with a velvety feel that is very luxurious. On the finish, the tannin becomes evident. While this should drink reasonably early, it is a wine that will improve with cellaring.
