Hacienda de Chihuahua Sotol Reposado 750ml
Tequila
Description: | Manufacturer's Notes: Sotol, like tequila, is a kind of mezcal. Sotol is an extraordinary pure nectar, highly prized for more than 800 years for its rich flavors. It is made from a wild agavacea plant that grows only in the High Chihuahuan Desert in Northern Mexico. Maturing on the mountain-sides, the plant stores vast amounts of natural energy as it endures the bitter winter chill and torrid summer heat for as long as fifteen years. The Tarahumara Indians created this magical drink from the agavacea plant to celebrate their rituals and religious ceremonies. When the Spanish Conquistadors discovered it, they introduced European distillation methods to achieve a high level of purity. The process of harvesting the plant in the wild remains the same today as it has been throughout the ages. However, to guartantee the continues availability of this wonderful resource in its natural habitat, the producer of Hacienda de Chihuahua. Vinomex, has initiated an extensive conservation program which assures its preservation for future generations to come. The distillation process is under the careful supervision of certified enologist Jose Daumas, graduate of the Ecole Nationale Superieure Agronomique from Montpellier, France and with professional experience in Martell and Moet-Chandon. His years of experience and expertise assure the expertise assure the excellent quality of Sotol Hacienda de Chihuahua. The Hacienda Tabalaopa, a family jewel since its establishment in 1881, has historically enjoyed sotol as the spirit of the region. |
