Patron Anejo

Patron Anejo

Description: Yes, the Patron family of tequilas are made with 100% agave in Jalisco, Mexico, much like many of its peers. What separates Patron tequila from other tequila, then, is the process itself. The agave is hand picked, carefully harvested, and closely trimmed. It is then slowly steam baked in small brick ovens. This is where the Anejo differs from the Silver and Reposado: after the agave is cooked, it is crushed and ground using a traditional Tahona stone wheel, where the juice is fermented in wooden tanks, distilled twice, and then aged in French white oak barrels for at least a year. The result, then, is a rich, oaky, vanilla, honey, smoky caramel tequila. to make a special anejo like the Patron Anejo, attention to detail is a must!
