| Description: | Typically made of 90% Merlot, 6% Malbec and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, Ferrari-Carano Merlot is made from cool climate valley floor vineyards which produce a supple, fruit-forward wine. Hand-harvested grapes are destemmed and then fermented, blended and barrel aged for 18 months in mostly French oak. Look for a complex nose of ripe cherry, blackberry jam, cinnamon and caramel, with flavors of wild berries and chocolate-covered strawberries with a velvety finish. |
