Etienne Sauzet Montrachet Grand Cru

Vintage: 2019
Description: Decanter 98 Points - " Produced with fruit purchased from two parcels on the Chassagne side, one exposed fully to the south and the second a bit east, neighbours with Lafon and DRC respectively. The result resembles these wines, with fruit on the exotic end of the spectrum enlivened by citrus and mineral notes. On the palate the texture is dense and rich, but easily balanced by firm acidity that sustains it through an immensely long finish. Drinking Window 2024 - 2039.". Burghound 95 - 98 Points - "This is also aromatically restrained and requires considerable swirling to coax the aromas of layered and cool spicy essence of pear, apple, white peach and discreet wood toast. There is outstanding volume and mid-palate density to the borderline massive flavors that also possess a highly seductive texture while displaying stunningly good length on the balanced and mouth coating finish. As is often the case with this wine, it will need time to develop better depth, but the track record is so good that it is all but guaranteed to do so. *Burghound Don't Miss!*.". Wine Advocate 94 - 96 Points - "Opening in the glass with dramatic aromas of pear, white flowers, clear honey and toasted bread, the 2019 Montrachet Grand Cru is full-bodied, rich and enveloping, with lively balancing acids and a deep and complete profile, concluding with a long, lavish finish. It's produced from must purchased from Baron Thnardwhose large holdings lie on the Chassagne side."
