| Description: | Cava is the premier sparkling wine from Spain. It utilizes champagne's methods, but with native grapes that grow well in Catalonia. Poema's "Pura" is a blend of organically grown Macabeu, Xarel-lo, and Parellada, in nearly equal parts. The wine gained plenty of complexity from resting 12 months on its lees in bottle. Look for aromas and flavors of apple, peach, citrus, chamomile, and toasted bread. You will find the bubbles to be lively and persistent. It is fresh, full, and well-balanced. Enjoy this Cava with appetizers, tapas, or sushi. |
