| Description: | Annually released aged aquavit produced by Brennivn in Bogarmes, Iceland, 69 kilometers north of Reykjavik Base distillate of neutral grain Caraway is incorporated on a second distillation via basket in a copper pot still Finished in a combination of ex-Kentucky bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks for a minimum of 6 months Proofed with soft, high-PH Icelandic water Vintage date will vary Gold medalist (95 points) at the 2022 International Wine & Spirits Competition Non-chill filtered; 40% ABV This limited-edition winter aquavit is finished in former Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. The end result is an excellent sipping spirit, exploding with vanilla and fresh pear sweetness. The finish is long and complex, with hints of banana, rye bread, baking spice and subtle smokiness. |
