| Description: | 93 Vm / 92 Wa / 92 Bh / 17 Jr. The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru, the first vineyard to be picked, has a crisp, stony, pressed-flower-scented bouquet that is quite Puligny in style. The palate is very well balanced with a fine line of acidity, impressive nervosité and great persistence on the sapid finish. This comes recommended. Excellent. Neal Martin – Vinous Media. -- Neal Martin. The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets marries notes of citrus oil and white flowers with aromas of pear and peach. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and fleshy, it reveals fine depth at the core and promising chalky grip to balance its mid-palate fat. William Kelley – The Wine Advocate. Tasting note: Background hints of smoke can be found on the cool, pure and restrained aromas of various white orchard fruit, lemongrass, Meyer lemon and soft spice wisps. There is excellent intensity to the racy, stony and beautifully detailed medium weight flavors that possess very fine depth and sneaky good length on the balanced finish. This is quite dry without being especially austere and should also age effortlessly. Outstanding – Allen Meadows - Burghound. Accurate and precise judgement shown here in the degree of smoky reduction and oak: lots of elements but all in balance with the fruit.
