| Description: | I've had mixed experiences with this wine as some bottles seem to display noticeable volatile acidity yet others don't. I would add that that the Va is a minor nit and doesn't materially detract from the appeal of the exuberantly spicy nose that is now beginning to display just a touch of secondary character. There is excellent underlying tension to the markedly mineral-driven flavors that flash good power on the balanced and still moderately firm finale. In terms of drinkability, this is still developing and is sufficiently compact that I would suggest holding it for another 5 years or so first, and 8 to 10 would not be out of the question. |
