Memento Mori Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 750mL
Vintage: | 2012 |

Description: | Memento Mori translates to "Remember you will die". However, the creators of Memento Mori wine use that statement so that they "Remember to Live. In 2007, Adriel Lares, Hayes Drumwright, and Adam Craun dove head first into Memento Mori with a goal to create a winery that would use all of Napa as its estate. For three years, they tasted and researched, combining a respect for tradition with their unique entrepreneurial energy. The backbone of this wine is comprised of three of the best vineyards in Napa Valley; Beckstoffer Dr. Crane & Beckstoffer Las Piedras in St. Helena, and another killer vineyard in Oakville right next to Phelps' Backus Vineyard. In addition, they've got one of the hottest new winemakers in the Valley, Sam Kaplan. No matter how much they lose in the process of blending, they will never compromise on quality. Life is too short. Robert Parker 95 Points - "Not surprisingly, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is deeper, richer and more opaque purple-colored than the 2011, displaying lots of blueberry, crme de cassis, licorice, camphor, barbecue smoke and a touch of wood. Full-bodied and ostentatious with great density, purity and palate presence, it can be enjoyed over the next 10-15 years." |
