Description: | Mas Granier, Coteaux du Languedoc Blanc "Les Marnes", Languedoc, France 2016 70% Roussanne, 20% Grenache Blanc, 10% Viognier Lush, Floral Pear, Citrus & White Raisin. Dry. These vines are grown on a hilltop of completely rocky soil called "Marnes," so poor that nobody thought vines would grow there. Dominique Granier traded other plots to get this one and proudly states "If you can find one bucket of dirt on this hill, I'll give you the vineyard!" The stressed vines that grow here now produce incredible grapes for this spectacular white that rivals the great whites of the Rhone Valley. Serving Suggestions: Steamed crabs. Korean Sea Bass and Shrimp in Kimchee broth. Scallops with leeks and caramelized peaches. |
