| Description: | Fitz-Ritter Pfalz Riesling Extra Trocken Sekt. The grapes for this sparkling wine are carefully selected from neighboring vineyards in the Pfalz region. The rich & fertile loamy soil is ideal for Riesling. The second fermentation takes place in small pressure tanks (the Charmant method) and aged for 15-18 months on the lees, whereby the legal minimum is 9 months. The pressure in tank rises naturally to a very high 8 atmospheres, and after filtering and cooling to near freezing point which avoids any loss of sparkle, the bottling takes place next to the tanks in direct proximity. |
