| Description: | Olivier Merlin is a Macconais producer with a foot firmly planted in Moulin a Vent Beaujolais. Soured from vine planted in 1960 the wine goes through 12 days of carbonic maceration and 12 months barrel before blending in stainless. A well-structured stye with less potpourri and more granite influenced earth qualities. The floral aromas peek through on the palate providing a freshness to the meaty, herbal, and tobacco aromas. Structured tannins and a bright finish make for a Beaujolais worth contemplating. |
