Siduri "Pisoni Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir from Santa Lucia Highlands

Vintage: 2013
Description: 93 points Vinous. Ruby-red. Lively and sharply focused on the exotically perfumed nose, displaying aromas of raspberry liqueur, cherry and potpourri. Juicy and delineated on the palate, conveying very good depth and alluring sweetness to its mineral-accented red fruit preserve and floral pastille flavors. The sweet, penetrating, gently tannic finish clings with striking vibrancy and floral persistence. (jr) (8/2015) 93 points Wine Enthusiast. *Cellar Selection* Fresh raspberries, red cherries and even blackberries arise on the juicy nose of this wine from Adam Lee, but it's lifted by wild mint, hummingbird sage and damp coyote scrub. The palate is very herbally spiced, with thyme, marjoram, black cardamom and charred pine, laid across dried strawberries, cranberries and sour cherries, all tied together by serious grip. (8/2015) 92 points Connoisseurs Guide. *Two Stars* Arguably the richest of the new Siduri Pinots yet a wine that is unstinting in deep and defined, black cherry fruit, this full and patently juicy young wine is as extracted as any and uncannily well-balanced at one and the same time. It is wonderfully supple in feel with the first signs of varietal velvet promising fine things ahead, and, while unabashedly ripe, it hides its alcohol with fruity substance to spare. Its outgoing manner is certain to tempt early drinking, but, as good as it is now, it has the pieces in place to get better and better with age. (2/2015) 90-92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A ripe, fleshy and textured effort, the 2013 Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyard offers up plenty of black raspberry, toasted spice and violets in its rich, medium to full-bodied style. (jd) (10/2014) 90 points Wine Spectator. Aromas of blueberry and wild berry are taut and firm, with snappy acidity and vibrant tannins that sustain the flavors, ending crisp and lively. (8/2015).
